A questionable OC of questionable stylistic choice of questionable backstory - but here she is nonetheless. Based on the designs of an LNER K4, albeit with some modifications, my current headcanon is that she was sold off privately at some point before joining BR's fleet after nationalisation. It so happened that when she underwent repair and repaint, perhaps by mistake or due to a lack of other colours, she ended up painted in LMS-inspired maroon livery and has remained that way ever since.
